Great news: We’re officially NGLCC certified!
What’s the NGLCC?
The National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) was founded in 2002, and is the only national non-profit agency that certifies businesses as LBGT owned. In 2014, the NGLCC estimated that membership helped drive 200 million dollars in business in that year alone. The NGLCC has:
1100+ Certified LGBT Business Enterprises
200+ Corporate Partners from Fortune 500
60 affiliate chambers all around the world
What does it mean to be NGLCC certified?
NGLCC certified businesses have all gone through an in-depth certification process to ensure that they’re majority owned, operated, managed, and controlled by an LGBT person or persons.
While attending the 2018 NGLCC International Business & Leadership Conference, we were fortunate to meet some people and businesses that really made an impression, like:
Marjorie (Margye) Solomon, She’s It
She’s It is a Minority Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) which stands for Social Health Empowerment thru IT. Designed by and for women, SHEapp is a platform to help bring about 360° well-being. From their website: “This is not a fad, not a wearable. She’s It is a movement.”
At She’s It, they focus on saving time and providing relevant information, because it’s “Your body. Your data. Your health. Your life!”

Aaron Paiva Leyton, TourGuidePeru
Aaron is so much more than a travel agent--he’s the tour guide, concierge, and travel agent all in one. While other tour guides help travelers hit popular spots, Aaron goes so far as to make sure that his clients have exactly the right meal, wine, and even know where to buy the most quality products. He calls the experience “The Peru Show by Aaron,” because it’s so much more than just a regular tour.
He’s even working on a children’s book based on his cats’ adventures to Machu Picchu!
Brad Button with the Eric Fox Team at Berkshire Hathaway
Bradley is a Realtor in Philadelphia, but he’s actually more like a matchmaker, making sure that all his clients find the home that’s the perfect match for them. While he has the experience, knowledge and expertise his clients need, he also works to ensure that the process is as fun as possible.
He also serves on the board of the IBA (Independence Business Alliance), which is the LGBT Chamber of Commerce for the Philadelphia area.
